What are the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and how can we get involved?

Sustainable Development Goals

The SDGs, or Sustainable Development Goals, are a global initiative involving individuals, businesses, and institutions from 193 countries, working together to address worldwide challenges. Achieving these goals requires collaborative efforts from politicians, businesses, economic agents, and all citizens and sectors of society.

Launched in 2015, the SDGs began with the development of studies and proposals to tackle urgent global issues. Social goals include fighting poverty, promoting prosperity for all, and reducing inequalities. Environmentally, the aim is to minimize human impact while maintaining a good quality of life.

The target is to achieve 17 goals by 2030, giving society a 15-year period to educate and raise awareness about global concerns. Given the diverse nature of these projects, any individual or company can contribute by integrating efficient and relevant actions into their core activities.

Global Paris contributes by embedding these goals into the identity and daily practices of the group’s companies, striving for more effective contributions over time. We support the ‘Health and Well-being’ goal through blood donations, campaigns, and promoting sports. Additionally, the ‘Affordable and Clean Energy’ goal is integral to our mission. Erecycling aims to facilitate the recycling of materials that can have a second life, such as components from refrigerators, vehicles, and other technological products, to curb resource waste. We also align with the ‘Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure’ goal by diversifying investments in new, environmentally sustainable business models based on research and development. All our actions are conducted with an awareness of the ‘Climate Action’ goal, including sponsoring environmental events, establishing WEEE collection points, placing recycling containers, and creating the ‘Global Paris Ecological Brigade.’
